Tripp Forstner, manager of Magical Farm in Litchfield, Ohio will visit Crafdal Farm November 10-11 to share thoughts on and recommendations for purchasing and breeding alpacas. He promises to bring with him assorted fleeces from many of Magical’s prize animals so that workshop attendees can touch, compare and learn.
As an added bonus, on the evening of the seminar, experience a wine-tasting hosted by Tripp. This will be followed by a gourmet dinner prepared by Carolyn Crafts, to be served in the Crafdal Farm hayloft.
Chiropractic Health for Alpacas
Sunday morning will feature a presentation on large animal chiropractic by Christina Dayton, DVM, of Jersey, Georgia. Dr. Christina Dayton is certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association in animal chiropractic. She is excited about being able to offer this new therapy to both large and small animals.
Skirting for Show or Mill
Additionally on Sunday there will be a skirting demonstration for both mill and show fleeces by Lisa Hertan of Island Overlook Farms. Demonstration with question and answer period explaining the intricacies of preparing your fleece to go to the mill for processing and/or how to prepare your fleece for show.
